Downloading and Uploading Bespoke Templates using the PTMT - Power Template Management Tool

To open the PTMT simply open FireFox then click the Blue Greenlight Power logo in the top right hand corner on the Status bar.
If the Status Bar is not visible on your Firefox browser, click 'View' and then 'Status Bar' to show the Status Bar.



To download a template to your PC or MAC:
  • Click "Server Settings" and login to your site 
  • Click "Select Template" and Select which Template you want to download
  • Click "Select Directory" to choose where on your PC or MAC you want to save your template to.
  • NOTE:We suggest you choose a new empty directory as all contents and subdirectories will be deleted when you click "Download Template"
  • Click "Download Template"
  • View the progress of your download in the "Status" section in the bottom left corner of the screen.
To upload a template to your Swifty site:
  • Click "Server Settings" and login to your site
    • NOTE: The Server URL will default to https://admin.site.powa.com, you will need to change this to https://sandbox.gplshops.com for a Sandbox site or https://admin.gplshops.com for a Live Production site)
  • Click "Select Directory" to choose the template on your PC or MAC that you want to upload.
  • To upload as a new template click "Add as New Bespoke Template" or to overwrite an exiting template click "Select Template" and Select the template then click "Update Website Template"

The different buttons in the PTMT explained:

Server Settings:
Either a live or sandbox Swifty account is needed to configure the server settings.
The Server URL should be set to https://sandbox.gplshops.com for a Sandbox Swifty site or https://admin.gplshops.com for a Live Production site
Enter the URL along with the Username and Password for your site's Control Panel then Click the Done button
If server authorisation is successful then the Server Status is set to Connected.

Select Template
Click on the Select Template button then click on the Website Bespoke Templates or Public Templates tab.
Select a template from the list then Click the Done button.
The selected template name will appear in the '_Website Template' _section of the Control Panel.
After adding a new Bespoke template, you will need to re-select your new template from the Swifty Control Panel, then re-publish your site, for this to take effect.

Local Template Directory
Click on the Select Directory button then Select the directory where the template files are to be located Click the OK button.
The selected template directory should now appear in the Directory edit box.
If you are making changes to the template, the content of the Local Template Directory must adhere to our Template Specification. More details about this can be found in our technical documentation. Please raise a case on the Swifty Service Portal if you need a copy of this technical document.

Download Template
For full instructions on how to Download a template to your computer see the 'To download a template to your PC or MAC' section at the top of this document.
Before you click "Download Template" we suggest you choose a new empty directory as all contents and subdirectories of your chosen local directory will be deleted.

After you click the Download Template button the selected template is downloaded to the Local Template Directory and is ready for modification.
The Status description on the bottom left of the screen will show the progress of the download and inform you if there are any errors.

Add Template
For full instructions on how to Add a template to your Swifty site see the 'To upload a template to your Swifty site' section at the top of this document.

Click the 'Add As Bespoke Template' button, Enter the Template Name in the 'Add Template' dialog. The Template Name must be unique
Click the Add Template button

The Status description on the bottom left of the screen will show the progress of the download and inform you if there are any errors.
To apply this new template to a shop, Login to the Control Panel, Go to Manage Website -> Change Website Template, click the Apply button next to the recently added template then publish your site.

Update Template
For full instructions on how to update an existing template to your Swifty site see the 'To upload a template to your Swifty site' section at the top of this document.
Make changes to the template in the Local Template Directory on your MAC / PC.
Make sure the correct template is selected in 'Select Template'
Click the 'Update Shop Template' button 
The Status description on the bottom left of the screen will show the progress of the download and inform you if there are any errors.
To apply this new template to a shop, Login to the Control Panel, Go to Manage Website -> Change Website Template, click the Apply button next to the recently added template then publish your site.

Sync Generic
The Synchronize Generic feature allows you to upgrade a locally stored template to the latest version of the generic template. Please ensure you remove any read only flags on the local template files before using this feature. Detailed information about this feature can be found in our technical documentation. Please raise a case on the Swifty Service Portal if you need a copy of this technical document.
