Can I rename the Checkout button?

FAQ: Can I rename the Checkout button?

By using custom Javascript code you can rename the Checkout button both on the Shopping Cart page and in the Quick Cart section.

1. Login to your Swifty platform site, go to Manage Website > Edit Website
2. Select the Home page in the Website Map tree and switch to the Edit Page tab
3. Switch to the Page Sections tab, drag a HTML page section to the Home page and place it in any container
4. Open the HTML section in the edit mode and add the following javascript code:

<script type="text/javascript">
$(document).ready(function(){
        $(".shoppingCartSection input[value='Checkout']").attr("value","New Name for Checkout");
        $(".quickCartSection input[value='Checkout']").attr("value","New Name for Checkout");
});
</script>

Replace the New Name for Checkout with the appropriate title.

  5. Once the required code snippet has been added, click Done
6. Then click on the first icon (triangle) for this HTML page section and select 'Make Page Section Shared' if you wish to add this section to specific pages only (see point 8 below if the changes should be applied to all pages). Please remember that the code snippet must be present on all pages where the Quick Cart section is displayed.
7. Click Done to save changes.
8. If you wish for the changes to be applied to all site pages, please go to Manage Website > Edit Webmaster Verification (
Working with the HEAD section) and paste the code snippet into that window.
9. Publish the site for the changes to be applied online.

If you wish to rename the Checkout button on the Shopping Cart page only, please use alternative instructions:

 1. Go to Manage Website > Edit Website
2. Select the Shopping Car page in the Website Map tree and switch to the Edit Page tab
3. Switch to the Page Sections tab, drag a HTML page section to the Home page and place it in any container
4. Open the HTML section in the edit mode and add the following javascript code:

<script type="text/javascript">
$(document).ready(function(){
        $(".shoppingCartSection input[value='Checkout']").attr("value","New Name for Checkout");
        });
</script>

Replace the New Name for Checkout with the appropriate title.

5. Once the required code snippet has been added, click Done
6. Publish the site for the changes to be applied online.
