How can I export my product catalogue?

FAQ: How can I export my product catalogue?

You can export Products listed in your catalogue. Your product export will only include products which have been published.  This is because part of your product export information includes the Product and Product Image URLs for each product published.

To export your Published Products please do the following:

1. Go to Catalogue

2. Click on Export Published Products

3. The ‘Select Attributes for Export’ screen will appear.  Select the product attributes you wish to export and click Export Products.

Once the Export Products button is clicked, information about the number of exported products will appear in the status bar above:

4. Once the file has been generated, you will be offered either to save or open the generated export file:

The format of the file name to aid with your filing is always: YYYYMMDD-HH-MM.

The .csv file can contain the following columns:

SKU, Name, PriceNet, PriceGross, CostPrice, Quantity, Weight, Option1, Option2, Option3, Option4, Option5, Brand, Category1, Category2, Category3, Category4, Category5, Category6, Category7, Category8, Category9, Category10, DisplayOnline, SellOnline, IncludeInSearchResults, MinQuantity, URL, ThumbnailImageURL1, ThumbnailImageURL2, ThumbnailImageURL3, ThumbnailImageURL4, ThumbnailImageURL5, FullSizeImageURL1, FullSizeImageURL2, FullSizeImageURL3, FullSizeImageURL4, FullSizeImageURL5, LargeSizeImageURL1, LargeSizeImageURL2, LargeSizeImageURL3, LargeSizeImageURL4, LargeSizeImageURL5, FullDescription, ShortDescription, RelatedProduct1, RelatedProduct2, RelatedProduct3, RelatedProduct4, RelatedProduct5, RelatedProduct6, RelatedProduct7, RelatedProduct8, RelatedProduct9, RelatedProduct10, AlternativeProduct1, AlternativeProduct2, AlternativeProduct3, AlternativeProduct4, AlternativeProduct5, AlternativeProduct6, AlternativeProduct7, AlternativeProduct8, AlternativeProduct9, AlternativeProduct10, SEOTitle, SEODescription, SEOKeywords, CustomAttribute1, CustomAttribute2, CustomAttribute3, CustomAttribute4, CustomAttribute5, CustomAttribute6, CustomAttribute7, CustomAttribute8, CustomAttribute9, CustomAttribute10.

URL: stands for the URL of the Product Details page;

ThumbnailImageURL, FullSizeImageURL, LargeSizeImageURL: are URLs to each of the different image sizes for the image associated with your product.

Category: '/' is used to separate parent and child categories, e.g. Parent Category/SubCategory, and '//' to indicate '/' char in a category name, e.g. Music/AC//DC.;

Alternative/Related product: is a alternative/related product's SKU

Option and Custom attribute:

1) choice list option is exported in the format: "{""required"": ""Yes"", ""choices"": [{""sku"": ""scb"",""value"": ""Blue"",""quantity"": ""7",""priceNet"": ""0.99"", ""priceGross"": ""1.16""}, {""sku"": ""scw"",""value"": ""White"",""quantity"": ""3"",""priceNet"": ""0.99"", ""priceGross"": ""1.16""}], ""type"": ""ChoiceList"", ""optionName"": ""Colour""}"

2) information box option is exported in the format: "{""required"": ""Yes"", ""defaultText"": ""Please enter the text here"", ""type"": ""InfoBox"", ""optionName"": ""Message to be delivered"" }"

3) check box option is exported in the format: "{""priceNet"": ""1.00"", ""priceGross"": ""1.17"", ""type"": ""CheckBox"", ""optionName"": ""Gift Wrapping""}"

4) Custom attribute is exported in the format: "{""name"": ""Genre"",""value"": ""Rock"", ""display"": ""Yes"" }"

Important note:

If a CSV file is opened in Excel, some double quotes won't be seen, if in Notepad - they will be present.

For example,
In Excel you see:

{"required": "Yes", "choices": [{"sku": "scb","value": "Blue","quantity": "7","priceNet": "0.99", "priceGross": "1.16"}, {"sku": "scw","value": "White","quantity": "3","priceNet": "0.99", "priceGross": "1.16"}], "type": "ChoiceList", "optionName": "Colour"}

In Notepad you see:

"{""required"": ""Yes"", ""choices"": [{""sku"": ""scb"",""value"": ""Blue"",""quantity"": ""7",""priceNet"": ""0.99"", ""priceGross"": ""1.16""}, {""sku"": ""scw"",""value"": ""White"",""quantity"": ""3"",""priceNet"": ""0.99"", ""priceGross"": ""1.16""}], ""type"": ""ChoiceList"", ""optionName"": ""Colour""}"

Therefore, if you will be editing a CSV file in Notepad (or another text file editor), you will need to specify additional double quotes, if a file is being edited in Excel - then you won't need to.

A sample CSV file can be found
